Update released 9/19/2021: Build Notes
- Fixed FPS issue on final boss
- Flight patterns are now only applied to each wave and now to each enemy in the wave.
- Adjusted background to prevent some effects from being lost on the screen. Power-ups could be hard to see of enemy captains died at the bottom of the screen.
- Volume adjusters have been added to the enemy and player so you can tune their sounds individually. Also can now adjust volume in game.
- Enemies now fire weapons at you.
- Settings is now a UI panel instead of a whole new scene.
- Several other small bug fixes
Life is a remnant from the dawn of time. A being of pure energy that has flown through space for billions of years. Until one day, in the deepest recesses of space Life encounters explorers from Earth and must defend himself against their attacks. The game may contain bugs and balance issues in the current state.
Controls:
- WASD - Move
- Space - Shoot
- Collect Power-up drops from enemy captains (larger enemies) to improve weapons, life and score!
Collect power-ups to charge your plasma and increase your weapon power.
Difficulty Options:
- Easy: 4 Seconds between wave. 3 seconds between each new enemy
- Normal: 3 Seconds between wave. 2 seconds between each new enemy
- Hard: 2 Seconds between wave. 1 seconds between each new enemy

Nice graphics!
I ran into a bug though. After dying and pressing retry to restart the game, the level seems to reset but no enemies spawn, nothing happens, I'm just flying through empty space. Interestingly, returning to the main menu then starting a new game does not fix the issue. Each attempt I have to refresh the webpage. I'm using firefox.
This may be a design choice, but I also noticed that when I fly up and shoot, the bullets don't fly straight forwards but up at an angle. Is this intended? It doesn't happen when flying down.
Thanks for the feedback. Will have these bugs fixed shortly. The weapons should spawn forward only. Fixing that for the next build, was a rotation issue.
Not bad, not bad!
Pros:
The most gorgeous UI I've ever god-damn seen
Super sweet loading screen
Decently cool graphics for the player and enemies
Incredible detail to enemies and bosses were very unique looking
Simplistic gameplay that doesn't require a tutorial
Lots of room for additions
Didn't see any bugs!
Cons
Repetitive. Each wave was basically the same thing.
Don't like how weapon starts to bank downwards at about the half way point.
Kinda short but...there's not really a "standard" for length so it's fine.
Wish there was a level past the maximum cause there were a few powerups left
Overall, pretty damn good! you have a serious talent with graphics that I envy! I have my own game that's no where near the visual quality yours is! Hope to see more!
Thanks for the the feedback! I will be adding an endless mode :-). I also agree it is repetitive and am currently working on that too. Lastly, the bank downwards was a bug and should be fixed now.
